Chippendale Cross-Town Classic
The 2011 Progressive Dinner was a hit…..pun intended! What a great turnout. We had nearly 50 people, 7 host houses and plenty of F-U-N. I’d like to take a moment and thank the following families for hosting and thus making the event possible: the Gryzlo, Baumgartner, Gray, Tabel, Bailey, Schlossberg and Nichols families. Congrats go out to the “PROVIDENCE PIRATES” for winning the game this year with the best re-write of “Take Me Out to the Ball Game”.
A special thank you goes to Lisa Binder. This would not have been possible without her and her years of previous planning notes!!
What’s next? There are a few ideas in the mix but I’d like to open the suggestion box to all of you. If you have an idea for an event – new or something done previously – please send me an email and share it with me. We are looking for grown-up and family ideas alike. Also, if you are interested in helping to plan some of the events please let me know. You can reach me via email at stadler60@gmail.com.

CHILI COOK OFF – NOVEMBER 6, 2010
A HUGE thank you to this year’s Chili Cook Off co-chairs, Maureen R. and Tamara T. This event has a lot of moving parts and they did an awesome job of pulling it together and making it another memorable Chippendale event.
The Chili Cook-off is an event that requires many volunteers. First off, we need chili! This year we were treated to culinary delights by Denise A., Jim H., Jennie and Troy N., Brian P., Maureen R., Chris R., Scott S., Todd T., and Janice T. You all outdid yourselves and we had a great selection of chili – something to please everyone!
Next, we need somewhere to taste the chili and spend time with our friends! Thank you to our 2010 hosts: Jim & Liz S., John & Laura S., Mark & Ruth S., Jim & Celeste B, and Todd & Tamara T.
And for those of you who could not join us, the winners of the 2010 Chippendale Chili Cook-off were…Brian P. in 1st place with his Killer B’s Chili, Jim H. in 2nd place with his Kickin’ It Chili, and co-cooks Jennie and Troy N. with their Half-Time Chili.
Each of these chefs received a coveted Winner’s Apron in recognition of their superior skills!
Congratulations to our winners and thanks to all that participated this year!
