September 2011 Update

As with the last couple of years, this year has seen record numbers of mosquitoes in this region – they have counted up to TEN TIMES normal in some nearby locations.  Nature is definitely winning this battle… That said, we have added Monday night treatments in addition to our normal Thursday sprayings to try to reduce the impact of these huge hatchings as much as possible.  We will have these twice a week sprayings through the first week of September and will be re-evaluating at that point as there is a cost to these additional treatments.

Hang in there, mosquito season is on its way out.  Unfortunately, that also means that summer is almost over.  I guess this falls under the old saying “be careful what you wish for”!
