Welcome to Chippendale! We’ve proven that even rain cannot stop us from having a great time at our annual Pig Roast! We had a great turnout this year and were happy to welcome three of our newest Chippendale families at this year’s event. The change in venue proved to be a perfect decision as the North Shelter at Citizens Park provided much more refuge from the rain than any tents could have. Eventually, the sun shined down on us and the games began. For the adults, we were put into teams where we challenged each other in such activities as building a shelter with household items, busting a pinata that didn’t want to come down, doing a scavenger hunt, and eventually a tug-of-war which led to the ‘Orange Team’ winning the Team events. Then it was down to four contestants for the title of Ultimate Survivor. I accepted the trophy after defeating my three remaining teammates (Dan Britton, Troy Nichols, and Todd Tabel) in the Limbo-by-Candlelight contest. Meanwhile the kids played kickball, had their own pinata and played fun games. They even had a sand-pit to play in! The Roberts Family won a gift certificate to Kaleidoscoops for the best Immunity Idol. The ‘pig roast’ was provided by the Canteen restaurant and was quite delicious. I know I can speak for everyone who attended in saying that a great time was had by all. Thanks to Tamara and Mark Baranowski for all of their hard work in making the 17th Annual Chippendale Pig Roast a Success and to everyone that helped pitch in throughout the day.

Pet Corner

Please be kind to our four-legged friends and keep them on a leash at all times. Remember, the Village of Barrington has an ordinance that requires dogs to be leashed when walked. Don't run the risk of losing your pet!
